Concrete Bar Tables for Hospitality

Concrete bar tables earn their keep in hospitality. Cafes pulling three hundred covers a day, hotel bars from four o'clock to one in the morning, restaurant chef's counters, rooftop function rooms. The brief is the same in every venue: a surface that takes years of contact, keeps its finish, and reads architectural under bar lighting.

Our hospitality work runs across both metropolitan and regional venues. The Beverly Rooftop in South Yarra runs a SnapCo concrete bar table at its central pour station. The Nest Cafe & Grocer in Braeside uses SnapCo concrete bar tables on casters across their outdoor cafe; each table sits on commercial-grade casters so the staff can reconfigure the seating area with ease. Cafes, private members' clubs, and event venues commission the Santino bar on commercial-grade casters: roll it into place for service, roll it back at close. The IronStone holds the line at fixed positions on a galvanised steel base.

Concrete Bar Tables for Residential Spaces

At home, a concrete bar table is the casual perch alongside the kitchen, the breakfast bar over a peninsula run, or the standalone piece in the sunroom doing morning coffee and evening cocktails. The IronStone and TimberStone work especially well as kitchen-island companions: matched pigment to a benchtop run for continuity, or a deliberate contrast tone for definition.

Counter-height (900 mm) suits kitchens with bench-aligned seating. Bar-height (1050 to 1100 mm) reads more formally and pairs with bar stools at 750 mm seat height. Both are made to order; specify at quote. We've cast custom lengths up to 3,600 mm for residential commissions that needed the full run.

Outdoor Concrete Bar Tables

Outdoor concrete bar tables for alfresco rooms, courtyards, and pool-side bars. The IronStone is our outdoor concrete bar table default on a galvanised steel base built for full Australian sun, salt air, and four-seasons exposure. The Santino runs on commercial-grade casters for hospitality settings and event use: roll-in setups for outdoor weddings, pop-up bars, and rooftop functions.

UV-stable pigments across the full studio palette. Freeze-thaw stable composition. A satin food-safe sealer that resists red wine for six hours. Pair with a matching BBQ benchtop for a complete outdoor entertaining run.

Heights, Dimensions, Bases

Bar-height tables sit at 1050 to 1100 mm with 750 mm stool height. Counter-height tables sit at 900 mm (kitchen-bench line) with 600 mm stool height. Standard widths run 600 to 1200 mm; lengths 1800 to 3000 mm, custom on request. Bases: galvanised steel (IronStone), commercial casters (Santino), or Tasmanian oak (TimberStone).

Bar-Height Concrete Bar Table

A bar-height concrete bar table sits at 1050 to 1100 mm, paired with bar stools at 750 mm seat height. Built for stand-up entertaining, wine bars, and the long Sunday lunch that never quite ends. Available across all three ranges on quote.

Counter-Height Concrete Bar Table

A counter-height concrete bar table sits at 900 mm, the same line as a kitchen bench, paired with stools at 600 mm seat height. The casual perch alongside the kitchen, the breakfast bar over a peninsula run. Same composition, same cure, just specified to the lower height.

The IronStone runs on a galvanised, powder-coated steel base for both indoor and outdoor commissions. The Santino sits on four commercial-grade caster wheels: locked when stationary, free when you need to reposition. The TimberStone pairs the same concrete top with Tasmanian oak legs hand-finished by our Daylesford blacksmith and timber team.

All three are made to order. Pigment chosen from the studio palette; edges hand-finished; surfaces sealed for food contact. Standard widths 600 to 1200 mm; lengths 1800 to 3000 mm. Custom dimensions quoted on request.

Material  /  The composition

Concrete bar tables: narrower section, same composition.

Concrete bar tables are cast from the same silica-free composition as the dining range. Full-depth, never veneered. The narrower top makes the piece read lighter against a wall or window without compromising the cast.

The studio seal is food-safe and built for ordinary household use. Pigment and base specified at quote.

Common Questions

Concrete bar tables: what people ask.

  • What's the difference between counter-height and bar-height? +

Counter-height tables sit at 900 mm, the same height as a kitchen bench, suited to a casual standing-perch alongside the kitchen. Bar-height tables sit at 1050-1100 mm, true bar height, paired with bar stools. We cast both; specify at quote.

  • How wide are concrete bar tables? +

Bar tables are narrower than dining tables: typical width 600 to 900 mm, length 1600 to 3000 mm. Narrower top means lighter weight per linear metre and a more elegant profile against a wall or window.

  • Can a concrete bar table go outdoors? +

Yes. Our outdoor-rated ranges use a UV-stable, freeze-thaw-stable composition with a food-safe seal. Suited to alfresco rooms, courtyards, and pool-side bars. Indoor ranges can sit on a covered verandah but we recommend an outdoor-rated range for full exposure.

  • How heavy is a concrete bar table? +

A 2400 mm IronStone bar at 700 mm width weighs around 130-160 kg. Narrower top reduces weight versus a dining table of the same length. We site-place at delivery. Bar tables don't move twice.

  • What's the lead time? +

Four to six weeks from order. Same cure schedule as the dining range; we don't shortcut the cure for narrower pieces.
